My teacher likes bones and dead things...
Hey guys! I know it's been a while. Oops!! So this is my shout out to Benjamin Legrow and the Nikon D40!
Last week I was in a pickle. All of the pictures I took while I was home did not turn out. Some of it was my fault because I didn't load the film on the reel correctly. But the other roll was exposed a little bit because the cap came off. There were little triangles of light on each picture. This was on Tuesday...my portrait assignments were due Thursday. Needless to say I was kind of freaking out since it is a long process to develop and print film.
That's when I remembered my friend Ben Legrow. Somehow he won a Nikon D40, my favorite camera in the world! (Umm, yeah, I'm jealous!) I called him and begged to borrow his camera. Luckily, my begging skills worked.
Okay...I know I just said that I would post pictures, but it's not working, so I'll do it later.

Here are some pictures I took on Tuesday.
My teacher said that this one was his favorite out of the whole class. He said it made his Top 200 list, which is saying something since he has been teaching for about 20 years and the average number of students in the class is around 65. Anyway... It's my favorite, too!
I really like this one, too. If I do say so myself! Comments are appreciated!

Eight Belles was euthanized after finishing second in the 134 Kentucky Derby 2008. Even though I wasn't keeping up with horse racing, it's still sad for me! She was the first filly to run in the Derby for 9 years. She was really pretty!

I've been meaning to post this for a while but I haven't had time. This was one of our first activities as an FHE group. We went to a local nursing home and just kind of played with them. We painted most of the women's fingernails (no toenails, please!) and played games and things.

It was really fun. I'm pretty sure I met a kindred spirit there. Here name was Elaine Poole.
She was awesome. She was really funny, too. We talked about people we knew in Menan, Idaho. When I took her to her room for the night, I said goodbye, and she just kept saying, "I'm sure we'll see each other someday soon!"
And here's my group:

So I finally have something to blog about! I was taking a bath, just minding my own business, reading a book, and all of a sudden this girl I don't know walks in on me. I just have to say something about that. Usually when the light is on, the door is closed, and water is running it means that there is someone in there. Use common sense, people!!!! Maybe I was wrong...I don't know... OF COURSE I'M RIGHT!!! Hahahahaha! Just kidding. I just thought it was funny. It made me laugh. The girl was some random girl that my roommate invited for dinner.
Oh well...I guess you experience everything at college!

This is what happens when your teacher cancels class because he's in San Fransisco.
It was a beautiful day outside today, so I wanted to be outside somewhere. But by the time I got out there it was about 10 degrees outside.
My friend has horses up here, and (you know me and horses and photography) I decided to take pictures of them. Don't worry, I asked first. However, I did feel like I was trespassing. Anyway...
Her horses are Sally and Jules. I swear these awesome horses knew I was taking pictures of them. They totally turned there heads and did cute poses. It was so funny! Jules is in most of them. It's hard to tell a difference between the two.
This is Jules turning her head to show her beautiful profile.
This is Sally looking really mad...but you can tell she has kind eyes! Hehehehe...
Best friends! So cute!
And my all-time favorite picture....

Hey guys...just wanted to let you know that there is an awesome website that tells facts about the temples. Before you get scared about the content, it was made by the church...I think. Here is a link to the Rexburg Temple, who's dedication I attended last Sunday. They have some awesome pictures! It's really cool! Don't forget to comment!

Hello everyone! See, I told you I would post again. Just letting you know that I am making an insane project that my fabulous sister came up with. I might be blaming her later. Just kidding.
I am doing the Bayeux Tapestry for my Humanities project. This is the portion I am doing because it would be important to me. I am a direct descendant of William the Conqueror (the man on the horse is William), and I love horses! Tell me what you think!

So I am finally back at school! Yay! Learning is fun! I'm taking a vocal instruction class where we have to sing in front of a lot of people at the end of the year, kinda like when I took that ballet class. Looks like another semester of public humiliation! Just kidding. I'm excited about it. I've always wanted to perform in something, so now is my chance. I'm planning on singing "No Good Deed" from Wicked. Speaking of Wicked, here is the quilt Kendra and I made.
Kendra did most of it, and I pretty much owe her my firstborn, but it was worth it! THANK YOU, KENDRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More posts coming up! Really! I promise!!!
