Eight Belles was euthanized after finishing second in the 134 Kentucky Derby 2008. Even though I wasn't keeping up with horse racing, it's still sad for me! She was the first filly to run in the Derby for 9 years. She was really pretty!

Was she just euthanized because she didn't win or was she sick or injured? That's so sad.
Didn't you watch the video? Hahaha! She broke her two front ankles. Watch the video.
